Module 1
Covers all of the basics that are always confusing but that you need to know before you get going. This includes who’s who of renovation & what they do, some critical renovation lingo so you understand what’s happening, an overview of legals and the step by step phases of a reno, taking you through what happens at each stage . You’ll get worksheets and quick guides covering each area.
Module 2
Covers everything you need to do to prepare for a reno, including how to prioritise your work, building a budget, knowing what is possible in your area and considerations about living in or renting. Templates and tasks include prioritisation sheets and a budget planner & tracker.
Module 3
Covers everything you need to do to design your reno before you get any experts involved, including how to moodboard & drawing your own layouts, saving money if and when you get the professionals in. Included is a step-by-step on how to draw your own layout, room-by-room checklists and lighting and electrical plan examples.
Module 4
Looks at all you need to know about engaging professionals, what they do and what they provide, which you need and which you don’t and how to go about those all-important processes like planning, party wall and more, saving you as much money as possible. Plus you get a ton of templates and examples like party wall, structural engineer and architect plans.
Module 5
Is the A to Z of finding your build team, including types of build, how to go about finding a builder, a step-by-step of the quoting process, vetting builders, agreeing ways of working, payment schedules, contracts, schedule of works and building federations. Module 6
Is all about managing your in-life build. Everything from reducing disruption, negotiating household bills, health and safety, managing timeframes and budgets, insurance and more. Plus, with every module you will get exercises to help you work through your build step-by-step!
